Gokusen deals with the adventure of 23 year old Yamaguchi Kumiko, the heir to the Oedo Group - the yakuza
or Japanese Mafia. She decides to become a school teacher and is assigned one of the toughest and supposedly
dumbest class in the school - Class 3-D. With her street skills and smarts, Kumiko teaches her wayward
students the best way she knows how - with tough love and yet a mutual respect.
