#1 – Comfort
Wolfram sat quietly beside Yuuri - whose tears were
yet to dry - knowing full well that his silence was the only comfort he could
give at this time.
#2 – Kiss:
The first kiss was an accident, a meeting of lips as they had fallen into each
other’s arms, but to Yuuri it would always taste like
sunshine and freshly picked apples.
#3 – Soft:
Yuuri tossed and turned restlessly on the bed, until
he felt Wolfram - soft and warm - against him, which brought a small smile of
relief to his features as he finally fell into deep slumber.
#4 – Pain:
Loving Yuuri was a beautiful pain, for as much as he
longed for the beauty within his heart, Wolfram knew it would never truly
belong to him.
#5 – Potatoes:
Wolfram stared at the bowl of sweet potatoes and meat, took a bite and
sincerely hoped that Yuuri would never offer to make
dinner again.
#6 – Rain:
Wolfram smiles to himself as he feels the arms tighten around him, for when the
rain falls, Yuuri longs for his companionship much
more than he’d like to admit.
#7 – Chocolate:
If chocolate was an aphrodisiac, Wolfram wanted no part of it because Yuuri had been locked in the bathroom for a while after
finishing a slice of his mother’s Devil's Food cake.
#8 – Happiness:
For Wolfram, happiness sometimes came in the simplest of ways, like seeing Yuuri walk through those doors – soaking wet – from his
short journey back home.
#9 – Telephone:
The telephone was yet another strange device in this world of Yuuri’s, and as it suddenly rang shrilly, Wolfram fought
back a small cry of surprise and the urge to smash it to pieces with his fist.
#10 – Ears:
The argument went on for several minutes until Yuuri
leaned close to whisper into Wolfram’s ear – soft words of reassurance – that
finally brought a smile to the blond’s flushed
visage.
#11 – Name:
The final thrust broke Wolfram’s resolve and as he arched into the warm body,
he finally opened his mouth to scream Yuuri’s name to
the heavens.
#12 – Sensual:
Wolfram’s singing voice was a sensual experience unlike any other, and Yuuri wished that the blond wouldn’t hide such a talent
from him.
#13 – Death:
No matter how many times he witnessed it, death was always a painful experience
and it could only be soothed in Wolfram’s arms.
#14 – Sex:
Warm bodies molded as one, writhing amongst silky sheets as they languished in
the aftermath of another explosive round of sex – only this time, Yuuri had insisted that they were actually ‘making love’.
#15 – Touch:
Although he knew that Yuuri had only reached for him
out of necessity, Wolfram’s hand still tingled from the simple touch that meant
so much to him.
#16 – Weakness:
Wolfram would never admit this weakness - a warm smile from Yuuri
which would always leave him a bumbling mess inside.
#17 – Tears:
Silent tears of misery slid down his cheeks as he listened to Yuuri mumble the other’s name over and over again in his
sleep.
#18 – Speed:
Wolfram could feel his feet slipping on the ice and he braced himself for the
painful thump which would follow, but moving with a speed that surprised them
both, Yuuri caught him just in time
#19 – Wind:
Whenever a gentle wind blew, Yuuri could swear he
sometimes saw flecks of gold in Wolfram’s hair.
#20 – Freedom:
As he stole another glance at Wolfram, Yuuri found
himself wishing, for the umpteenth time that he could have the freedom to love
like his fiancé.
#21 – Life:
Life with Wolfram was a lesson in patience, pain and tolerance but Yuuri also knew that life without Wolfram would be bland
and uninteresting.
#22 - Jealousy:
It was always the same sensation – a low coiling heat that pooled within his
stomach, a bitter taste of bile that rose to his throat which made his heart
and head ache – each time his jealousy boiled over from Yuuri’s
‘cheating’ ways.
#23 - Hands:
Yuuri held them to the light and saw for the first
time that the supposed smooth flesh; wasn’t that smooth after all, for years of
holding the sword had toughened Wolfram’s hands, which felt so warm and strong
within his.
#24 - Taste:
Wolfram moaned and closed his eyes, the delicious taste of strawberry ice-cream
melting on his tongue, but he would never see the look of longing that came his
way from a mesmerized Yuuri, who secretly wished he
could be the ice-cream.
#25 - Devotion:
Wolfram’s loyalty was unquestionable for he was willing to die for Yuuri, even though his fiancé would never truly get to
understand the depth of his devotion.
#26 – Forever:
In his dreams, Yuuri would never leave his side and
would choose to remain in Shin Makoku forever, but in
reality Wolfram knew it was nothing more than a painful illusion.
#27 - Blood:
Yuuri held the wounded soldier to his chest, tears of
bitterness and regret rolling down his cheeks for Wolfram’s blood had never
felt as warm against the sudden chill that had begun to seep into his heart.
#28 - Sickness:
When Yuuri opened his eyes, still feeling stuffy and
woozy from the sudden bout of sickness from the last trip, he felt the warm
tickle of soft hair against his hands and knew without a doubt that Wolfram had
spent the entire night watching over him.
#29 - Melody:
Whenever Yuuri played that flute, Wolfram knew he’d
have to force himself to focus on the melody instead of the tantalizing view of
Yuuri’s hips as they moved in that unconscious but
sensual motion.
#30 - Star:
Yuuri agreed that the stars in earth’s night sky
could not be compared to the ones in Shin Makoku but
then again, he knew that Wolfram would always be the brightest star in both
worlds.
#31 - Home:
For Yuuri, home was water-trips, royal protocols,
sword practices, dealing with disputes, adoring fans and the sweet smell of
Wolfram’s hair at the end of a long day.
#32 - Confusion:
When Yuuri suddenly pulled him within his arms to
plant a hard kiss on his lips, Wolfram’s face was a study of confusion,
although his heartbeat had quickened with delight at the open display of
affection.
#33 - Fear:
They had been told to remain in the cupboard for fear the enemy would find them
and as Yuuri trembled at the sounds of violence
outside the doors, he reached for Wolfram’s hand and held on tightly – somehow
knowing that he really had nothing to fear with this boy by his side.
#34 - Lightning/Thunder:
Whenever the Maou came, it was like a rush of
lightning and thunder – a storm of justice and punishment to the wrongdoers –
which always left Yuuri weak and exhausted afterwards
as he’d fall into Wolfram’s supportive arms to recuperate.
#35 - Bonds:
Even though he was miles away from Shin Makoku, Yuuri was painfully reminded of the bonds he had formed
back there – for every blond young man that crossed his path, made him think of
Wolfram, who always waited (im)patiently for his
return.
#36 - Market:
Wolfram wondered if it had really been a good idea to follow Yuuri in disguise to the town’s market, for Yuuri’s continuous flirtations with the opposite sex was
really beginning to grate on his nerves.
#37 - Technology:
For the one-millionth time, Yuuri tried to convince
Wolfram that the vacuum cleaner was not possessed by an evil demon, but was a
product of modern technology which helped to clean up a messy home.
#38 - Gift:
With a flourish, Yuuri held out the gift to Wolfram,
who eyed it warily but opened it all the same – for inside was a small emerald
brooch with a note that simply said, ‘They reminded me of your eyes. Happy
Birthday, Wolfram.’
#39 - Smile:
He flushed, feeling the heat suffuse his cheeks and as Yuuri
held his breath, wondering if he had gotten the right thing, his heart sang
with joy as he watched Wolfram’s features break into a smile as radiant as the
sun.
#40 - Innocence:
They sat beneath the large tree to watch their daughter play amongst the
flowers and as Yuuri reached for Wolfram’s hand; both
wondered if there would ever come a time when they return to such beautiful
innocence.
#42 - Clouds:
Together, Yuuri and Wolfram lay on the grass and
stared at the clouds - where each one took on a different shape or became a
story with their vivid imaginations.
#43 - Sky:
Another boring lesson had Yuuri staring out the
window and into a sky as blue as Wolfram’s uniform.
#45 - Hell:
Hell hath no fury like a Wolfram scorned as Yuuri
knew he was going to pay for dancing with the young princess tonight.
#46 - Sun:
When the heat from the sun became unbearable, Wolfram took off his shirt and Yuuri forgot how to breathe.
#47 - Moon:
Yuuri leaned over the railing to meet Wolfram’s
upturned gaze, and beneath the pale glow of the moon, an unspoken emotion
passed between them.
#48 - Wave:
Wolfram turned away, for it was becoming much harder to watch Yuuri wave goodbye each time he made his journey back to
earth.
#49 - Hair:
One of Wolfram’s greatest (secret) pleasures came from running his fingers
through Yuuri’s soft dark hair whenever the young
king was fast asleep.
#50 - Supernova:
It was a rare phenomenon that Yuuri wished to share
with someone and dragging a reluctant Wolfram to the front lawn, they watched
the lights of a supernova dash brilliantly across the night sky.
#44 - Heaven:
Wolfram continued to watch in awe, and barely felt Yuuri
move closer to him, for tonight heaven was a breathtaking sight to behold.
#41 - Completion:
Yuuri smiled at Wolfram’s childlike wonder and as he
slowly wrapped his arms around his fiancé’s waist, he finally felt a sense of
completion unlike any other.
