INTERLUDE:
THE SILENT YEARS
It was a
rare thing really to see a turbulent planet without worry.
The
kingdom was united,
The
troublemakers had been stopped.
The
East no longer a factor,
Made
the others feel at ease.
The
King was most celebrated,
Many
came from far and wide,
To
pay their homage to their fearless leader,
Who
had single-handedly restored this peace.
But alas,
it would not be for long,
For
you see, the East had not forgotten the wrong.
They
had silently been rebuilding,
Making
themselves stronger with each passing day.
Their
renegades at the ready,
For
the word from their leaders.
For
they were ready to fight,
To
defend what was right.
And so
they snuck, like thieves in the night,
To
their neighboring quadrants,
They
paid several visits.
Each
leaving a present
That
would not be easily forgotten.
The panic
began,
As
quickly as it had been eased.
‘They
are at it, again!’, they cried
‘Save
us, oh great Ha’j !’, they bellowed.
‘The
renegades are back and they bring with them great anger!’
And so it
came to be
That
the five silent years of peace,
Had
just been a time for our rebel friends
To
gather themselves for battle.
Ahi , my friend,
The
real war has just begun…
